Hot selfcare tips for you? Oh yeah!
Sometimes, all I want to do is curl up and get cozy all by myself. I could never pass up an opportunity to netflix and chill which is almost thesame as trying to say no to a tripple decker debonairs pizza that I didn’t order with my money; I just can’t do it.
But just as I can eat my pizza in a restaurant, public bus, private jet or anywhere else, I’d prefer a cold room, a hot cup of tea, cuddled in my bed and putting on the silk(iest) lingerie ever. ( I don’t even know if the word “silkiest” is acceptable but pardon me. Idea is need.)
Darn; a sexy idea.
I’m however sleeping in an old jogging bottoms, a miss-matching t-shirt, a not-cold room and of course no hot tea or pizza in sight. Although I’ve got two new books to read laying carelessly beside me on the bed so I’ll just name them tea and pizza for sanity sake.
Ugh! I need a vacation.
Lone times and getaways are a luxury most of us can’t afford due to either financial constraint or the hustle and responsibilities on our backs. Even sadder is the fact that we don’t factor lone times and vacations in our plans and actually follow through with them.
I’m not talking a little space to clear your head by the way but an actual space to enjoy other things in life that aren’t routined.
The little time we however get are spent in raggedy jeans and lose tops that smell like they’ve been in the closet for a little too long. Trust me; I just let you in on my reality but I’m about to make a change and I employ you do the same.
Investing in a good sleepwear is an act of selfcare. It’s about dedicating the time to maintain a level of comfort with your own body.
Yes, you might not be able to afford a trip to that Island on your wishlist yet but you definitely can pamper yourself just by owning a few lingeries that feels like the beach water on your oily skin slowly caressing the tiny hair on your body, smelling like the beach sand with colors of sunset and sunrise that screams tranquillity.
One thing you shouldn’t be caught wearing is a denim bum short and one of those home smelling tops of yours. Denims aren’t famous for being subtle on the skin like silks; they’re more famous for being rude sticky and clingy on your adorable skin and you don’t deserve that.
As we both understand a vacay on the beach is too luxurious right now, you at least deserve to sleep in silks that drape, to read on your balcony in comfortable lingeries while the sun tries to pierce through them. You deserve that much.
The one time I had this really good lingerie on it felt like I had nothing on me and in it I conjured my imagination to that of a flower girl on the beach basking in the morning sun. Except, I was in an hotel room taking pictures that’d let you know why you should cop yourself my sleep wear.
I’m all yes for this nice pajama to spend my alone time in. It’s pretty obvious how bright yet subtle the colors are. Red and yellow never looked so calm together.
Made from the finest of silks with seams so gentle and neat. No wool pulling out, no sticky feeling; just a careful and well detailed pajamas. Sadly, not all people pay attention to details.
A lingerie not made from the right fabrics would have you adjusting and feeling uncomfortable as it sticks to your body. We all know what being too careful does to our alone time; distracts you.
Sticky lingeries make you sweaty and it’s just plain uncomfortable if you ask me. Need me some fresh air.
Tacky is the definition of everything that could go wrong with your lingerie. Like, can you look a bit easy on my eye? Can you not look like I’ve be wearing you for decades? I know so little about seams but I definitely know a good one when I see it and here, I have it on.
What could you possibly achieve with a dull looking lingerie when you’re supposed to be like a flower. Let your lingerie have life in it. It makes you feel even better and more confident. I’ve noticed I feel more confident on days when I’m wearing matching lingeries.
May be have a quick flashback of the first momemt you had when you got a new sleepwear.
Because I know how conflicted you are now, I’ll help you with a little more detail.
Selfcare is not a luxury and you actually do owe it to yourself to take good care of yourself even if its just with a change of pajama set; it’s a step to a great beginning.
