A day in my life as a mom and contet creator can be quite tricky. Sometimes I forget I have work to do and nap with my daughter
If you’ve ever wondered what my life as a mom and content creator looks like on my lazy days, you’re in the right place.
Today has been a very slow, laid back type of day. Although I woke up with so much energy and positive vibes that I even planned to wear make up; that thought has completely gone in the trash.
Thankfully, I did my morning skincare routine because I sincerely have a crappy morning without this important step.
I try to sneak out of bed before my toddler notices because 16months old detachment problems are real and she wants to get up the moment she knows I’m up.
The first thing I do in the morning when is have my bath, perform ablution and say my prayers. I put these three together in a group because they usually go together.
I’ve also realized that having my bath before anything increases my chances of having a productive day. Knowing everything begins to change after my child wakes up.
Depending on the situation of the house, I like to make sure everything is tidy and if possible, get something cooking before my president wakes up and need a refill. I absolutely cannot function in an untidy space.
I was unable to fix our living space before she woke up today, so I did it while she watched Dave and Ava then proceeded to do other things around the house. With a toddler, there’s always something that need fixing.
I gave the whole house a quick clean while my husband made breakfast and prepared for work. While it rained crazy outside, I was already getting tired and eyeing my bed. It’s honestly a miracle that I didn’t take a nap.
At this time, Inaayah was super ready for shower time. She had peed on the floor twice because we just started potty training and she’s yet to get a hang of it. I wasn’t going to let the third time happen and so I gave baby girl a shower, got her dressed and fed her some food.
To the best part of my morning; skincare. I like to do my skincare after Inaayahs bath time because of water splashes for shower time. Plus it’s a way to finally start my day.
I got dressed after this; a basic jumper and boxers and got to work. I get to my emails, socials and eventually got on a call with my sisters chatting about our plans for eid. This I’m super excited about because it’s been many years we celebrated eid together and I’m grateful for this opportunity.
Shortly after the call, it was Naayah’s nap time that always lands me in bed. I know she’s 16months but I still breastfeed her to sleep a lot of times because she won’t sleep without me by her side as long as I’m home.
An hour and some minutes passed and I was still on the bed with my daughter. I used this time to post on my socials as I’ve been off for a few days. Let’s just say I’ve been trying to stay off my feed on weekends.
Naayah wakes up at about 4:30, we had lunch and here I am writing this post.
The rest of my day is going to be a mix of having play time with Inaayah, preparing my content for the week and catching up on classes I have missed.
Even on my lazy days like this, I try to get one or two things done for my sanity. No matter how lazy your day is, even getting out of bed to get breakfast is an achievement. We all go through it.
Let me know if you enjoy this post so I can do a more detailed one. What’s a lazy day usually like for you ? Comment below
