Consistency can either be a creators best friend or nightmare depending on how you look at it. For me, it has been a blessing.

It’s been 4 weeks of writing blog posts after blog posts and I’m still surprised I made it to the end of this challenge. The first time Mattie announced the blogging consistency challenge, I was so excited but it slowly changed to self doubt.
I was so determined to push myself for this challenge because I needed to tell myself I could do it but a part of me also wanted to chicken out. There were days I almost didn’t write but I had to remind myself about my goals.
In the four weeks I spent doing this challenge, I relearnt some great tips that i often forget so I’m sharing this with the hope that it helps someone out there get through whatever they’re going through.
YOU ARE YOUR OWN LIMITATIONS
You can achieve absolutely whatever you want to achieve if you set your mind to it. I really didn’t think I could pull this off as a mom of one but I did. I told myself I wasn’t getting any sleep if my blogpost didn’t go up. This challenge made me go from 20 posts a year to 20 posts a month and that’s very commendable.
The only limit there is, is the one you set for yourself. Do your affirmations my loves.

PLANNING MAKES LIFE EASY
I pride myself in being spontaneous but when it comes to creating content, it just can’t be completely left to the wind and a having a detailed plan would make your life so much easier and put things in focus for you.
If all you can do is just a list of what you need to get done, do it and that’s one step in the right direction. If you’re a blogger looking to write more, here’s something to inspire you.
CONSISTENCY IS KING
I know people say content is king but I’ll go for consistency. Consistently putting out great content is not easy but it would not only help you get better but also make your audience trust you. You become more reliable and they don’t have to try to keep up with you.
Consistency also helps with clarification; the more you do, the clearer your path becomes. I found out more about myself and what I love writing about during this challenge.
ALWAYS NICHE DOWN
I know this can be hard especially for those of us who like to talk about everything. Realistically, you can’t talk about everything. Pick the best things you’re good at and niche down. It’s not enough to just say you’re a lifestyle blogger and dabble into everything.
Specify exactly what aspect of lifestyle you want to blog about because it’s broad. This is also great because it makes it easier to work with brands that can easily tell your focus. You don’t want to be neither here nor there. Direction is key.
INVEST IN YOURSELF AND MORE
Paying enough attention lets you know what needs more work or what areas you’re great at. Invest your time in learning what makes the quality of your work and life better, in resources that makes your work easier and in people because you can’t do it all.
Most importantly, enjoy the process and grow through it. This was an amazing month and I can’t wait for what next month has in store for us all. Thanks for staying with me.
I hope this helps you understand that you can do it.
I’ll be making a few changes here on the blog since this has been a great learning process. In the mean time, stick around on instagram where you can always find me.
